The WHO Europe Child and Adolescent Health Database (CAHD) provides a set of statistics based on indicators related to the health and well-being of children and adolescents. The statistics were collated from a variety of databases as a joint effort between WHO program divisions and collaborating centres and partners. The database was constructed for the purpose of supporting the Child and Adolescent Health and Development Strategy (2015), providing the relevant information for monitoring progress on child and adolescent health indicators in the 53 member states of the WHO European Region.

% of infants reaching their first birthday in the given calendar year who have been fully vaccinated against diphtheria (3 doses of DPT or DT). Data are reported annually to, and available from, the CD unit at WHO/EURO.

January 2001: There is no data for 1996 as the vaccination program was changed. DTP/tetanus is now given at 12 months. The Serum Institute calculated the percent as the vaccinations given with the share of children 15 months (before 1996) and 12 months after 1995. In 1996 all children between 12-14 months and vaccinated were just divided by share of 12-months children which given a percent larger than 100 so no data available for that year.

1996 based on a survewy carried out for the first time in 1996 on infants between 26-30 months at the time of the survey.
Netherlands
The vaccination rate is given per 1 January of the year. These figures cover babies born between one and two years before the datum date. So the vaccination rate for 1997 is the percentage of babies born in 1994 who received at least three vaccinations. The reason for the time span between year of birth and the datum data for the statistics is that immunization is sometimes done with some delay, e.g. after birth abroad.
